BPL Partners With International Deliverance Praying Ministry to Feed Hundreds For The Holidays

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 19, 2025
Nassau, Bahamas — During this season of giving, Bahamas Power and Light Company Ltd. (BPL), the Bahamas Electrical Workers Union (BEWU), and the Bahamas Electrical Utility Managerial Union (BEUMU) are spreading light and love through a joint $2,000 donation to the International Deliverance Praying Ministry, home of “The Singing Bishop,” Bishop Lawrence Rolle.
The ministry, which provides weekly meals to hundreds of Bahamians in the Grove community, is preparing for its annual Christmas giveback, an event where residents gather to receive hot meals and gifts in celebration and remembrance of the birth of Jesus. This contribution will help fund the initiative and ensure the ministry can continue offering hope and support to families in need during this holiday season.
During the presentation, BPL CEO Toni Seymour commended the ministry’s unwavering service to the community, stating, “It is our pleasure to make this presentation to you today. We see the work that you are doing in the community, and we want you to know that we stand by you.” She added, “At BPL, we are not just about keeping the lights on; we are also about empowering and improving lives, something that you do daily.”
BEWU President Kyle Wilson echoed this sentiment, noting, “Today’s donation is more than just giving back; it’s also a celebration. We are celebrating God’s goodness, grace, mercy, and favor on us as a people here at BPL.” He continued, “We are celebrating the fact that we can afford to give back to the less fortunate and help to empower all Bahamians.”
Bishop Lawrence Rolle, Senior Pastor of the ministry, expressed deep gratitude for the support. “I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to have our annual Christmas event. However, because of this donation, hundreds of community members will gather to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
As BPL continues to “Build for Better,” the organization remains committed to strengthening the communities it serves and partnering with those who work tirelessly to uplift others.
