Street Light Column Covers are intended to limit access to electrical wires and hazards within the column.
Vandals have been removing these doors, hereby exposing the public to these risks. Further, wires fail prematurely when exposed to the elements causing outages of the streetlight presenting additional hazards.
If you see anyone vandalizing or proceeding to commit an act of theft by removing a street light column cover, we ask that you immediately contact Bahamas Power and Light at 322-1593 and or the Police Force via 919/911.
