BPL Supports Getting to Zero
October 31th, 2017
Bahamas Power and Light Company Ltd. (BPL), is continuously working to build better commu-nities through its many corporate sponsorships. BPL recently agreed to partner with The Baha-mas AIDS Foundation, to support its Getting to Zero initiative. The initiative, which empha-sizes the Foundation’s goal of Zero new infections, Zero AIDS related deaths and Zero stigma and discrimination within reach, is just one of many, at The Bahamas AIDS Foundation.
BPL has been supporting The Bahamas AIDS Foundation in various ways, through sponsorships of its Annual balls and Fun Run Walks since 2013. In addition, BPL has had a number of its team members volunteer as committee members for a number of projects lead by the Founda-tion.
BPL fully understands the devastating repercussions of this disease but is extremely hopeful and impressed with the results that the Foundation has had thus far. Making the presentation to Ms. Wendy Wong, Bahamas AIDS Foundation, is Ms. Diana Sands, BPL Manager, Corporate Com-munications and Mr. Doyle Rolle, BPL Asst. Manger, Web and Social Media.
The Bahamas AIDS Foundation’s Annual Red Ribbon Ball, will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island. BPL encourages all of its utility and corporate partners to attend, as all proceeds are used to further the work of the Foundation.
