BPL Sponsors The Bahamas Society of Human Resource Management (BSHRM)

Bahamas Power and Light Company Ltd. (BPL), has partnered with The Bahamas Society of Human Resource Management (BSHRM), to sponsor their annual conference and exposition. Recognizing the importance that these industry professionals play in the development, growth, and sustainability of organizations, BPL was “All In!” for the third year.
Ensuring that the most talented persons are recruited, trained and placed in the correct positions are a part of the key functions of Human Resource Management. BPL is proud of its talented and quali-fied team of HR professionals who effectively and efficiently carry-out these functions daily. All of BPL’s HR professionals are currently members of BSHRM.
Ms. Villiemae Black, BPL Manager Human Resources and immediate past president of BSHRM, believes that “HR is at the core of all organi-zations, as it manages the most important asset; the people. It aligns its selection processes with strategic goals set by executive manage-ment. In addition, HR works to resolve problems, to ensure peace and tranquility is maintained through-out the workplace.”
This year’s conference is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at the Atlantis, Grand Ballroom, Paradise Island, under the theme “All In! Creating the Next Generation of Leaders”. BPL en-courages all HR professionals to attend this year’s conference, as it is an excellent opportunity for networking and to learn more about the latest developments and strategies in Human Resource Management.
The Bahamas Society for Human Resource Management is a na-tional, nonprofit organization for human resources and other business professionals. BSHRM is an affiliate of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM is the largest body of HR professionals in the world.
